Life's Choices of Lake County is a pro-life center for women and men seeking confidential support, accurate information, and community referrals. All of their services are free as well as free pregnancy tests. They run off of volunteer basis, so they would be more than happy to use some helping hands. Lake Cares Food Pantry opened on April 4, 2009, with a short-term intention of helping those in the community who were affected by the economic conditions of the time. Lake Care's main distribution hub and offices are located in Mount Dora, which is centrally located and very accessible to all persons in Lake County, Florida. Our LifePointe Student ministry has started a local outreach called Backpack Buddies. Our students go to their schools and hand out Buddy cards with sizing information to their teachers. Their teachers then can identify students who might be in need and fill out the sizing card appropriately. Our students bring in clothes, new or slightly used and fill backpacks with the needed sizes and distribute them back to the teachers at their schools.
